Elena Stikhina is one of the most critically acclaimed singers of her era. She performed in the greatest opera houses in the world: London, New York, Paris, Milan, Vienna and Munich, which she visited as Tosca, Madama Butterfly, Aida, La forza del destino’s Leonora, or Salome and Sieglinde in Die Walküre. The Russian soprano will portray the titular character of Adriana Lecouvreur for the very first time. This piece by Francesco Cilea revolves around an actress’ tragic destiny… It received acclaim when it premiered in 1902, and has been part of the repertoire of great opera houses ever since. In this intense story of two women who find out they have the same love interest, majestic international voices are elevated by a flamboyant orchestra. The audience is sure to be transported by the lyrical stream of Cilea’s music.
