"Since I was a little child I knew I wanted to become an opera singer. There was never anything else I wanted that much. Perhaps becoming a chef could have been an alternative: I love cooking. For inspiration and role models I listen to singers that are considered “historic” today: legends from the past like Ettore Bastianini or Tita Ruffo. Singing is a unique experience. Opera, for me, is an extreme form of communication. It’s intense. It triggers all kinds of feelings."
