The musicians of the Orchestra, as well as the artists of the Lyon Opera Choir, come together for a series of chamber music concerts. A perfect opportunity to discover works in a more intimate setting, in three venues that embody Lyon's rich and diverse cultural landscape: the Musée Gadagne, the Salle Molière, and the Lyon Opera Amphi.

Located in today’s Czech Republic, the town of Kroměříž hosted a lavish 17th-century court with a strong focus on musical creation. Many artists visited and wrote for a specific ensemble combining strings and brass. Musicians from the Lyon Opera Orchestra perform the finest works from this period using period instruments: the sackbut (early trombone), dulcian (early bassoon), baroque trumpet, baroque violin and cello, and harpsichord.
This concert unveils captivating pieces by Pavel Joseph Vejvanovski, Johann Heinrich Schmelzer, Antonio Bertali, and Johann Joseph Fux.
