À propos

Rediscovered in the 19th century, Shakespeare fascinated all of Europe. His plays allowed musicians to completely rethink genres. Mendelssohn’s Romantic Germany and Tchaikovsky ’s tsarist Russia, here represented by A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest, set the stage for this magical, marvellous concert.
