Alejandro Azorín trained with José Antonio Robles before continuing his studies at the School of American Ballet in New York and at the Pacific Northwest Ballet. He began his professional career with the Semperoper Ballett Dresden in 2014, where he performed a wide-ranging repertoire spanning from classical ballet to works by leading contemporary choreographers such as David Dawson, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Alexander Ekman, Sharon Eyal, Nacho Duato, and Johan Inger. In 2023, he was promoted to principal dancer. After ten seasons in Dresden, he joined the Ballett am Rhein for two years before joining the Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon in 2026. He also holds a Master’s degree in dance education from the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden.
