A little boy, a bird, a duck, a wolf… and hunters! Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf tells a timeless, joyful tale.
Young Peter's intelligence triumphs over the wolf who threatened his friends. The courage of the young hero, the cowardice of the duck, the ferocity of the wolf: in 1936, the Soviet composer, recently returned to his native land, created this musical tale for children which also has a political subtext for adults. An ode to children’s imagination, Peter and the Wolf will win over audiences of all ages.
