Tonight, the winds are high. Propellers are spinning. Sails are flapping. Suddenly, ten dancers throw themselves against the elements. This sort of hand-to-hand is typical of the Käfig company; with their director Mourad Merzouki, the artists strive to imbue hip-hop with a great variety of dance types. Zephyr is a tribute to a major part of our house’s history and identity: in the 1980s, the Lyon advent of this free, spontaneous expression of urban culture occurred on the very forecourt of our Opera.
