In a few words

The Lyon Opera Orchestra celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Led by Daniele Rustioni, the musicians will take you on an exciting musical journey honouring two great composers: Beethoven and Wagner.

Introductory

The Lyon Opera Orchestra displays a previously unsuspected side to its talents as, accompanied by two soloists, Daniele Rustioni plays the piano part of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto while conducting the orchestra. A challenge that fully demonstrates the understanding that exists between him and the musicians of the orchestra. The ensemble goes on to perform Lorin Maazel’s adaptation of Wagner’s Ring. A Wagner without words that serves as an ideal introduction to the Ring Cycle.
