Discovery parade
Between a joyful dancing parade and a guide for discovery, this version of “Happy Demo” is an invitation to set out on the conquest of the Opéra de Lyon, from top to bottom, and from the fifth basement to the twelfth floor.
Role play
At the crossroads of dance, installation, cinema and sonic montage, David Rolland develops a multidisciplinary creative work in a quest for an inventive relationship with danced gestures, which contribute to its redefinition. It was in 2011 that the choreographer created the first version of his “Happy Demos” (Happy Manif’). As a joyful, offbeat, choreographic wandering, this participatory event invites the spectators, via a sharing of the tools of dance, to join in and acquire a new view of the world. With a headset on their ears, the participants at once become performers of a highly original score, while a soundtrack provides them with indications for movements and actions. A role play favouring a good mood and ludic discovery, which here is especially investing the Opéra de Lyon under the title La Corbeille s'amuse (The Basket Has Fun).
