Baritone Stefan Petković studied singing in his hometown of Belgrade, at the Faculty of Music of the University of Arts, in the class of Nikola Kitanovski. At the Belgrade Opera, he sung the parts of Guglielmo in Così fan tutte (Mozart), Dandini in La Cenerentola (Rossini) and Zurga in Les Pêcheurs de perles (Bizet). He was also acclaimed in numerous supporting roles such as Fiorello in The Barber of Seville (Rossini), Morales in Carmen (Bizet), Marco in Gianni Schicchi and Sciarrone in Tosca (Puccini). In 2024, he received the National Theatre Award in recognition of his achievements in the arts field. At other houses, he played Dr Falke in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss) at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) and Marcello in La Bohème (Puccini) at the Operosa Montenegro Opera Festival, as well as the Father in Hansel and Gretel (Humperdinck) at the Belgrade Summer Festival. In 2026, Stefan Petković joined the Lyon Opera Studio, where he will spend two seasons.
