The Lyon Opera Chorus will mark the start of the new season with a concert of sacred music from all over the world.
When the Russian Orthodox tradition embodied by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov meets Ola Gjeilo’s Norway, and Morten Lauridsen and Eric Whitacre’s America comes face-to-face with the traditional songs of South Africa, you can be sure that the unaccompanied (a cappella) voices of the chorus plan to take us on a spiritual , as well as musical, journey.
