ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL

For people with reduced mobility, who are hearing-impaired, visually-impaired or unsighted, the Opéra de Lyon puts itself out to assist your arrival and your comfort so as to allow you to arrive, just like everyone else, and enjoy our shows in the best possible conditions.

Motor disability and wheel chairs

There are places devoted in the halls for people in wheel chairs
Contact our booking agents up to ten days before the show so as to make a reservation.

A direct access by car

Close to the Opéra, the car parks for the Opéra (access via Place Tolozan) and Terreaux (access via Rue d'Algérie) are available for wheel chairs (height 1.90m). A drop-off zone is also available right in front of the entrance to the Opera, on Place de la Comédie.

Take the lifts
How about reaching directly the Amphi, the Grand Foyer, or the parterre or 4th, 5th and 6th level balconies?
Nothing could be easier: lifts are placed outside, on either side of the entrance.

Hearing difficulties

Do you have a hearing aid, with an activatable T position ? The Opéra can provide you with a little auditory assistance. To do so, an amplified magnetic sound loop is available in some seats in the Grande Salle. To find out more, ask for information from our ticket office agents.

Visual impairment
The shows have an audio-narration.
For either the visually-impaired or unsighted, the Opéra can allow you to enjoy at best the staging of shows, with performances that are accessible via audio-narration.

The unsighted are accompanied by a guide dog
For the unsighted accompanied by a guide dog, come to the opera quite freely: the presence of guide dogs is permitted in all of the halls of the Opéra. For further information, apply to our ticket office team to obtain the ideal seat.
